a first venture out, April lace

Yesterday I was going stir-crazy. I assume that is a good sign; that I have enough energy to be bothered by sitting still for 7 days…

We started at Bakery Nouveau for breakfast. It is the most Parisian bakery I have found here, and everything I have seen or tasted there has been incredibly authentic.

And beautiful.

Then we went to the Quad at University of Washington to see the cherry trees in bloom. I’d never been, and Tim wanted to show Mom and Dad.

These will enlarge a little if you click them.

It was incredible, and I loved seeing it with Mom and Dad.

Unfortunately, Tim had to drop us off close, drive a mile away to park, walk all the way back to see it with us, and then all the way back to the car to come pick us up…It’s still hard for me to move much and he was so sweet, but I felt bad putting him to so much extra work.

In addition to cherry trees, there was this beautiful Magnolia by the music building.

It was a wonderful first outing (other than the day we got coffee). Having Mom and Dad here was ideal, and It was haard to have them leave last night. Thanks, guys. I love you.
