I hapened upon the most crazy-beautiful lamps the other day, online. This place is called Calabarte, and they are painted and carved gourds. Yes, gourds. These become the lampshades, and they cast shadows that remind me of the star lamps that I remember from being a kid. You know the ones that projected a galaxy on your walls and ceiling? I still think that would be a killer night light for any kid. (me).
Unfortunately, at about $2,000 to $3,500 each, they are a little out of my price range right now. But they are really absolutely stunning. Check them out at calabarte.com.
